REQUIREMENTS FOR STORAGE AND USE OF PURCHASED GOODS
1. Requirements for transportation and storage of the Goods:
Loading and unloading operations are carried out in conditions excluding exposure to moisture. During loading and unloading operations, it is prohibited to throw or bend the packages with the Goods.
Packages with the Goods are transported in any position on a flat surface in any closed type of transport in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in this type of transport in conditions excluding mechanical damage, deformation of the material and exposure to moisture. It is prohibited to place heavy metal and similar objects in the packaging with the products. The products are stored indoors at a temperature not exceeding plus 40 °C in a horizontal position on a flat surface at a distance of at least 1 m from heating systems in conditions excluding exposure to moisture, oils and direct sunlight, in a stack no more than 1 m high.
2. Requirements for the use and installation of the Product:
The Product is installed on clean, painted, dry metal surfaces, including surfaces of complex configuration.
To clean the surface of the material from dirt, it is recommended to use water with neutral detergents that do not contain organic solvents and alkali, and are not active in paintwork. When dismantling, the Product cannot be reused.
3. Requirements for the installation of the Product:
When storing or transporting the Product at a temperature below 0 °C, before use, it is maintained at a temperature of (20+5) °C for at least 24 hours. The temperature of the working room where the installation is carried out should be (18-30) °C.
The mounting surface is pre-cleaned from dust, dirt, degreased with technical solvents and maintained until completely dry. The surface to which the material is applied must also be above 14 degrees.
4. Requirements for installation of the Product:
The Product is released from the anti-adhesive paper evenly without jerking and carefully pressed to the surface, avoiding the formation of air bubbles. Installation on contaminated and corroded metal surfaces is not allowed.
The warranty period (the period during which the Manufacturer guarantees the quality of the product) is calculated from the date of manufacture of the Product indicated on the packaging, and is 12 twelve months.
The Manufacturer's warranty obligations apply exclusively if the Buyer complies with the above requirements for the storage and use of the purchased product.
Necessary tools for installation:
- Degreaser;
- Metal roller for rolling;
- Knife with replaceable blades;
- Clean napkins or rag;
- Clean protective gloves.
Surface preparation:
- Demolition of the trim. Carefully remove decorative panels, mats, door trim or floor, depending on the area to be treated.
- Surface cleaning. Remove dust, dirt and remnants of old materials. Pay special attention to corners and hard-to-reach places.
- Degreasing. Thoroughly wipe the surface with a degreaser for better adhesion of the material to the metal. Let the surface dry.
Installation of vibration isolation:
- Material preparation. Cut the vibration isolation sheets to the size of the areas to be treated. Try to avoid large residues and excess material.
- Heating (if necessary). If the material has a rigid structure, it can be slightly heated with a construction hair dryer to a temperature of ~40–50°C for better elasticity and adhesion.
- Gluing. Remove the protective film and carefully apply the material to the surface, avoiding the formation of air bubbles.
- Rolling with a roller. Be sure to carefully roll the material over the entire area, especially around the edges and bends. This will ensure maximum fit and vibration absorption efficiency.
Installation recommendations
- Installation should be carried out at an ambient air temperature of 18–30°C.
- Before use, the materials must be kept at a temperature of 20–25°C for at least 24 hours (if the material was stored at a temperature below 0°C).
- Use gloves to prevent possible cuts on the foil surface.
- It is forbidden to install materials on surfaces affected by corrosion.
- To achieve maximum effect, it is recommended to combine vibration isolation with noise insulation materials.
Follow these instructions for the best results.
Tools needed for installation:
- Degreaser;
- Knife with replaceable blades;
- Clean wipes or rag;
- Clean protective gloves.
Surface preparation:
- Vibration isolation check. Make sure that the first layer (vibration isolation) is installed correctly, without air bubbles, has a tight fit and a clean surface.
- Surface cleaning. If the surface is dirty or dusty after installing the first layer, wipe it with a dry cloth and degrease.
- Dryness and cleanliness. The surface must be completely dry and clean for better adhesion of the second layer material.
Installation of the second layer (noise isolation):
- Material preparation. Cut the material to the shape of the areas to be treated. If necessary, make cuts for fasteners, wires or other elements.
- Heating (optional). Some materials (e.g. thick polyurethane foams) can be slightly warmed for better elasticity and ease of installation.
- Gluing. Remove the protective film from the material and carefully stick it to the surface of the vibration isolation. Start from one edge, gradually smoothing the material over the entire area.
- Pressing. Press the material firmly with your palms over the entire area for better adhesion. In most cases, a roller is not needed, but if the material is dense, it can be used.
Installation recommendations
- Do not allow the material to stretch.
- Installation on moving parts in the car doors is not allowed.
- Installation of materials with overlap is not allowed.
- The material must not extend beyond the first layer (vibration insulation).
- For areas with elevated temperature conditions, use appropriate heat-resistant noise insulation materials.
Completion of work
- After installing the second layer of noise insulation, make sure that all interior elements fit easily into place. Check the operation of locks, power windows, and electrical systems. Then reinstall the decorative panels and trim.
